Teak Wood Churners

Antique Indian Handcarved Wooden Butter Churner Dash – early 19th Century

Hand carved from deep, rich brown colored teak wood by Indian craftsman.

The cylindrical handles have a smooth, polished surface, shaped to fit comfortably in the hand of the user.

The head or working end of the sticks, which is responsible for the churning action, is often referred to as the "dasher" or simply the "churning blade."

These wooden curd blenders have many uses beyond making curd, including whisking or foaming milk and other liquids. Particularly useful for making frothy lassi, buttermilk, and milkshakes.

Indian wooden butter churner sticks are more than a kitchen tool; they are a connection to the culinary heritage of India.
